Mirror Mirror
A mirror is placed on the ground in different locations to show a reflection of the sky and the nature directly above it. The mirror seems like a portal since the reflection is out of place from where the background is. Using reflections alters the perspective of the landscapes and can feel disorienting. Using a shallow depth of field I focus on the reflection in the mirror so the ground is out of focus. I take these photographs in locations filled with nature, such as parks and beaches. I tend to find myself looking up at the nature around me and so incorporating a mirror allows me to capture parts of nature that sometimes goes unappreciated.

Windy Days
These are long exposure photographs showing the movement and colors of nature. While I was taking pictures of a flower I noticed how the wind kept blowing them around making me have to use a really fast shutter so that I can get the flower in sharp focus. That’s when I got the idea to show this movement in my photographs. For me this dramatic movement of the flowers shows there can be beauty in the chaos.
